Five days after the blissful Christmas jubilation, we
shine in another joyous celebration – the welcoming of 2015 – the year of
change and hope. The long waited moment in which all Nigerians looks forward to
annihilate corruption, injustice and chauvinism.
Though the election faced a little shift as scheduled,
the moment has come for us to seek a new beginning; prays that our desperation
for new government never failed.
I need not to remind you that in the previous year
2014, Nigeria
faces several economic downfall, and many dreadful acts by group of extremist in
the north-eastern region. Altogether with horrible events such as (a) the
abduction of 234 school girls in Chibok, (b) the Nyanya bomb blast in Abuja,
(c) the notorious Kano central mosque bomb blast, and (d) the awful detonation of
lives and properties at the Central Market in Bauchi and the callous Baga
massacre. Just to say but few.
In just six years old regime, we slept and wakeup in
the status quo where politicians embezzle public funds plainly because the
leader himself believes that ‘stealing is not corruption’. It is in this
country that leaders break the laws and pretend like it was nothing.
Musing on these facts, I’m made to believe that my
country 'Nigeria'
has fallen in to the hands of pirates, and by now every patriot shall
be looking forward to ‘change’.
Notwithstanding, the question here is: What does this ‘change’
really mean? What will it takes to have the said change? Who can bring the change?
And what if Nigerians will never get to experience it?
It happens right before our naked eyes, the All
Progressive Congress party presidential primaries which transpired in the
gorgeous city of Lagos .
No man was favored; no politician was automatically endorsed – as did the ruling
party, democracy legitimately reigns and the flag bearer emerges.
Unlike some members of the incumbent party whom based on their idiosyncrasy think they can gather on a round table and decides for Nigeria
– the winners and the losers. If to say the masses are given the chance to
choose their leaders as though was happening, Nigeria
could be in the forefront or among the most developed countries in Africa . And if democracy is legitimately practised, we
could have never been in such a chaos today.
I’m not only fan of Buhari but also the ‘CHANGE Movement’.
Deep inside me I believe that I will never love him as much as those who taste the
kind of beans he soak. I support him following the unending desire for change among Nigerians, and
because I believe that he can transform the country to the better.
For that, i heartily congratulates the General for being the flag bearer of the great opposition party (APC).
For that, i heartily congratulates the General for being the flag bearer of the great opposition party (APC).
All I pray for is peace and corrupt free Nigeria . However
equality among all citizens which I believe we can only achieve through ‘just’
and ‘promotion’ of fair election and, through Muhammadu Buhari. Precisely because the undying memories of
his past achievements still rocks in the hearts of all Nigerians. Moreover his
run for another chance democratically is evident that if voted in to office we
will taste real democracy and liberty which have been long absent in the
country.
General Muhammad Buhari is the pioneer of the All
Progressive Congress (APC), also a cynic and the capital opposition to the incumbent
party since 1999. Buhari is a godsend, and I believe that this year 2015 is the
moment which all Nigerians needs to be honest with themselves.
Considering all these problems facing the country, it
is there with you to decide. If you trust that the incumbent government is going
on the right path, which means you don’t need the change. But if you think
otherwise, you have the inalienable franchise to decide in the upcoming general
elections.
We shall give massive support for continuous development.
What is best for us is to reason with one another regardless of race or
religion; to dedicate our selves on issues and facts not propaganda. Trust me,
without our cooperation this country (Nigeria ) will never move forward. And
it is true that 'Democracy cannot solve all our problems, but none of the
problems can ever be solved without it '.
Thereby I hope our decision this time will re-form the
Nigeria
were people would join politics to make money, but rather to serve the
country.
Happy New Year
